Explore maths games and quests with Cyberchase
May 19, 2008CYBERCHASE teaches kids that maths is everywhere, everyone can be good at it, and it’s fun!
The Cyberchase website is based on a TV show. Teachers can see video clips, guides to episodes and character descriptions. In fact the Parent and Teacher section is excellent with tips, a quick tour to familiarise yourself and lots more.
There are two main sections:
Games – include interactive maths games and puzzles.
Quests – pupils can create their own cyber characters and go on cyber quests in these interactive activities.
Lots of maths topics to work with, including measurement, growth by doubling, inverse operations, decimals, negative numbers, place value, angle measurement, area and heaps more.
Children are encouraged to sign up using a nickname so a bit of e-safety is built in.
