Lots of great resources on Educated Fish
June 22, 2008This is a site which is still under construction but there’s so much to work with to support Key Stages 1, 2 & 3. Nine curricular subjects are covered from Numeracy, Literacy, Science and ICT to Music, Art and Languages.
The Magic Pen Game
May 20, 2008I am hooked! I didn’t think this was going to be my cup of tea but an hour later I was still playing on it. The aim of the game is to draw objects on the screen which move a red ball so that it hits a red flag. Great for understanding pivots and hinges. Great for science.
Draw your own objects such as ball, ramps and hinges. Move up through the levels as your skills improve. Take care as a few of my objects just fell over the edge or were so badly drawn they prevented the ball from getting anywhere near the flag. Still we are always telling our children they need a little perseverance. The objects behave as if they really exist which makes some interesting and frustrating situations. Before you know it you are hooked!
